Carleton Young Interiors - New Orleans Interior Design Services

Carleton Young, a native of Greenville, Alabama, is an Interior Designer that developed a love for interiors at a young age. She grew up surrounded by beautiful homes and southern elegance.

With the blessing of traveling abroad at a young age, Carleton gathered inspiration from all over Europe. While getting her degree from the University of Alabama, she studied art and art history in the picturesque country of Italy, as well as interned for a Birmingham designer. After graduating with a degree in interior design, Carleton was drawn to New Orleans’ reputation for its art, character, and most importantly, its architecture. Carleton worked at Moss Antiques and Keil’s Antiques on the world renowned Royal Street in New Orleans. With a city full of history and antiques, she learned a great deal about the quality and periods of antiques.

In 2011, Carleton began working with Curtis Herring Interior Design. Being such a small office, she was able to develop her design skills even further. While working with Curtis, Carleton began to obtain her own clients and started building her portfolio. In 2016, Carleton founded Carleton Young LLC. She now finds inspiration from her travels as well as the architecture and beauty surrounding her in New Orleans. Carleton designs each project with her number one priority being the client and their needs. No two people are alike, so no two spaces should be alike. Each client inspires Carleton to create custom interiors that the client will love spending time in.
